S. A. Foster Electric, Inc. has a zero tolerance policy for drug and alcohol abuse.  All of our employees have passed an extensive background check, including drug and alcohol testing, prior to employment. 

Weekly safety meetings are held at each jobsite to discuss issues relating to construction safety.   We believe safety training is the best way to keep our employees safe and to keep our performance at its optimum.  Our employees are certified by the American Red Cross in first aid and CPR.

 In addition to on the job training, our apprentices receive formal classroom instruction while enrolled in a state registered four year program through the Virginia Electrical Contractors Apprenticeship Program (VECAP).  This program teaches the National Electrical Code for compliance of industry standards and safety.
